I was working on some new ideas with my headphones so tight and so loud. I kept on hearing these loud banging noises, but I thought the upstairs neighbors were being loud. Then I noticed the wind carving out the rain outside.

C-prints fade into the light | The Art Newspaper
C-prints = unstable. Not news, but here are fancy people going on record about it, spelling colour in the fancy British way. Maybe you’ll believe them? OK, then! And you might want to keep those Gurskys of yours in a cool dark place while you’re at it.

“His figurative painting (which uses photography as its basic model) and his abstract painting - which reflects formal geometric abstraction as well as a much looser abstraction. By placing paint on photographs, with all their random and involuntary expressiveness, Gerhard Richter reinforces the unique aspect of each of these mediums and opens a field of tension rich in paradoxes, as old as the couple – painting / photography –which has largely defined modern art.”

I just love his photographs of paintings. And his paintings of photographs.
